We want you to get to know our team. So each month, we're going to feature a member of our firm in a blog post. Last month we introduced you to our firm’s founder and president, Dan Franus. This month we feature the firm’s first employee: Stephen Paxton.
Steve currently holds the position of Project Coordinator with Franus Architectural Associates, Inc. He earned his degree in Architectural/Structural Drafting from the Community College of Beaver County. While there, his talent and work ethic caught the eye of his instructor and solo architect, Dan Franus. The rest, as they say, is history. And what an impressive 25-year history it is!
Steve’s responsibilities at the firm include the design, scheduling, and production of architectural drawings. He also produces renderings for clients who wish to see a more life-like representation of their project beyond the two-dimensional sketches. He works closely with the engineers and manages workflow among the different entities involved on the projects. He is also well-versed in the details of building codes and ADA regulations.
When he’s not in the office, Steve is still being creative. He can be found sketching with his daughters, working with his wife on projects around his home (as well as the homes of family and friends), and perfecting his BBQ recipes. While he still has passion for playing the drums, he prefers to spend his free time on the beach. Any beach, anywhere.
